Objectives:
- Align Polar Scope using Canon DSLR
- Using Canon camera to take WinRoddier data (DSI as backup)
- Take several 30 second subframes of a deep sky object.
Schedule:
4:30-6pm: Initial Setup and adjustment, approximate polar alignment
6pm-8pm: Polar alignment via drift test
8-9pm: WinRoddier Data collection
9pm-11:30: Deep sky imaging
Observation:
- After moving to Capella, Center visually and Sync mount
- Using Canon DSLR drift align mount to allow for 30 second subframes (if possible) using Deneb and Capella
- (optional) replace canon dslr with meade DSI pro II
- Focus camera
- Move inside of focus
- Measure movement inside focus
- Take images for 1-5 minutes
- move back to focus
- move outside of focus
- Measure distance outside focus
- Take images for 1-5 minutes
- Move to M31
- Take 20 30 second sub-frames
